Andrew was born in New Zealand. He grew up in Wellington, a seaside
city, where he worked for several years playing mainly jazz and Irish music.
His former bands include The Hermosa Beach Trio, Plankton, The Last Drop and The Tangerine Acoustic Jazz Group.
He also studied guitar making in Canada, and during his earlier
music years survived through various construction projects. The last
of which being a yacht.. this kept him busy until he moved to Ireland
in 2001.
